Colombia & Boiler Room campaign for Hostelworld

Role: Content lead

To showcase Colombia as the next big backpacker destination, Hostelworld collaborated with Boiler Room to host a live-streamed club event in a Medellin hostel.

The event was supported by a comprehensive hub of travel advice, video documentary and influencer activity to celebrate local culture.

I led on the content strategy, video creation, microsite build, editorial production and copywriting for the campaign.

Results

The campaign resulted in a 6% increase in bookings to Colombia year on year and a 46% increase in visits to the Hostelworld Colombia destination page.
